Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs who’ve made checks on OH Leuven central defender Roggerio Nyakossi ahead of a potential summer transfer window move.
The talented 22-year-old is also on the radar of other Premier League clubs such as West Ham United and Crystal Palace after impressing for the Belgian club.
Chelsea could do with adding more quality and depth to their defensive options this summer, and it looks like Nyakossi could be a bargain option available on the market.

That’s according to a report from the Sun, who state that Nyakossi is expected to cost just £8m this summer.
What Roggerio Nyakossi has said about a transfer
Nyakossi himself sounds happy to be linked with big clubs, judging by what he said last month.
When asked about the speculation, he described it as “pleasing”.
“It is of course always pleasing when big teams are interested,” he said, as quoted by the Sun.
One imagines the Swiss defender is now ready to make that next step in his career, so a move to a big name like Chelsea would surely be really appealing.
The Blues also look an ideal destination due to their recent commitment to a strategy of building around top young players.
Who else are Chelsea looking at in defence?
Some Chelsea fans might be concerned that Nyakossi is lacking that star quality that could really take this team to the next level.
It’s previously been reported that CFC are leading the race to sign Murillo from Nottingham Forest, as per TEAMtalk, so that could be one better option.
We’ve also previously been informed of Castello Lukeba being on Chelsea’s radar, but there could be a lot of competition for names like these.
Nyakossi might not be as experienced at the highest level as those players, but at £8m he could be worth a try alongside at least one other new signing in defence.
